The organizing committee would like to congratulate the following participants:
Mr. David Bargiela from Imperial College, for best oral presentation on his research titled “The role of astrocytes in an animal model of multiple sclerosis grey matter demyelination”
Mr. Wilco Kwanten and Mrs. Céline Seghers from the University of Antwerp, for an outstanding abstract titled “Initial Experience of Endobronchial Ultrasound Guided Tranbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in a tertiary centre”
As the AMSC 2010 organizing committee , we are honored that student’s from all over the world came to our university to share their knowledge, we are honored for the professors who gave us enlightening lectures. And we can’t even begin to say thanks to all the people who made this possible, but we do feel that we have to name few persons who made this congress one to never forget: co-medical director GZA Dr. Nele Beeckman who made the interpretation possible, managing Director UZA J. Van der Straeten who was a big sponsor for this congress, Prof. Dr. Zul Mirza for his very active lecturing methods, Prof. Hubens for letting us practice on the da Vinci Surgical System. The members of the scientific research committee, our dean, the organizer and secretariat of the Medical Days of Antwerp, secretariat of our medical faculty, all members of EMSA, and last but not least our OC-president Niel Merckx and vice-OC-president Els Gielis.
A few notes about this edition: Imperial College received the award for best presentation and the accompanied netbook, AGAIN! The dinner in Bourla was incredibly delicious almost forcing us to go there again next edition. A guided city tour by a surgeon is way more interesting and fun than you might think. |
